Our last poll asked our users about what you think you'll be doing at the end of your career. 39% of the 61 participants answered they'll be regularly working with geospatial technologies. 31% claimed they'll be rich and famous or jobless! (how should we interprete this?!) 9% will be managers. 17% is distributed over the other choices. Thanks to users redgeographics and ebwolf for sharing their world domination plans.

The new poll asks you about your relation with geospatial games. The "Related Stories" section of this last week story enumerates about 20 games with a significant geospatial component.

Our poll hasn't been updated for a while. The last one was asking you what excites you most for 2008, the results gave varied sources of excitement, with, out of 77 votes, greater geodata availability being the clear winner. A bunch of other opportunities followed, such as a wider general adoption of geospatial technologies, better geospatial standards, new and improved geospatial software, etc. The least exciting, and thus loser, was access to new location-based services...

Chris Spagnuolo's GeoScrum blog has a very nice game for the GIS professional on it. It written completely in flash and is very fun to play. It involves being given a random location on the earth, and few seconds to click that location on the map. Give it a go and post your scores here so the rest of the GeoCommunity can make fun of your low scores :). Update: 04/10 13:59 GMT by S : This game was mentioned before on Slashgeo previously. I also copied some other previous geo-games below. And since many shared their score, here's mine: 527,701 pts, Level: 12, Trav. IQ: 127 (I admit this score was not done on my first try, but I haven't played often ;-). Update #2: Thanks to Marc K. for the submission of the same story prior the publishing of this one (yours has been pending too long in our system - thanks for your efforts).

Depends upon whether "end of career" is before or after the end. If after the end, you're probably retired or unemployed. Or you have a careerless job.
